I don't have allegiance to Microsoft.  If there was no 360 this gen, I'd only have a Wii as the PS3 doesn't have enough games that appeal to me.  The 360 just has a much better library than the PS3 although most of the games I really like (competitive games against people) are on the Wii.

I would have a PS3 and a Wii cause all the 360 games would more then likely of been released on the PS3 or the Wii

This is the funniest thread ever in some of the posts. A few make sense and say things like they would get a gaming PC (usually the best choice for most Xbox games even now but thats a different thread) or go to the Playstation again. That isn't what's funny

What's funny is all the people who say "Man if my hero Microsoft wasn't making the 360 and looking out for the little guy I'd NEVER buy a sony product new! F that evil Sony empire, I can't support them, they might get a monopoly! (as if they'd ever drive Nintendo out of the casual market to get that monopoly) You act like you're talking about some scrappy company with high moral values Sony can't match or something. This is the same microsoft that has this laundry list of crap they've pulled on about every tech industry and every tech company.

That is directed mainly at Mastershine and Ronstar. I can see reasons for holding your nose and giving Microsoft a chance on one product or another, but being some devoted Microsoft fanboy? I can't immagine what in the world they could have done to earn that kind of loyalty..saddled you with Vista at the low cost of 400 dollars? Made you pay for online on BOTH the PC and Xbox and made wireless on the 360 optional? Made you pay 1000 dollars to do some word processing in Vista (as if anyone pays full price for Office, just for arguements sake)?

You can say you like the 360, thats fine, but to act like daddy Microsoft is some company that deserves absolute devotion and Sony is the evil company just in it to drive competitors out is just so bizarre and reversed I can't get my head around it at all. It's like those people who hate Apple and refuse to buy an Ipod or Iphone. Do some people just hate companies that make the best products on the market for some perverse reason?

if there was no xbox then probably ps3 but who knows, if xbox would not have come in then another company would have joined the console war. i can't think of anyone better than microsoft to have joined in.

I have never ever once stated that Microsoft deserve anything.... Microsoft and Sony are both "corporations" I'm siding with microsoft because i believe that with the money available to them they can do to Sony what Sony did to Sega, The gaming world was already fine LONG before Sony showed up, There were already great games and iconic figures out there (Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Shinobi ect) and the 3D revolution was already well underway with games like Virtua fighter and Doom ect

Sega and Nintendo have made some of the greatest games of all time and rank right up there with the best SOFTWARE companies of all time (you know, Konami, Capcom, Namco, Square ect)

I always have and always will refuse to give sony ANY credit when it comes to the gaming world simply because the 3D revolution was already well underway long before Sony gatecrashed the party.....

When it was only Sega and Nintendo it was two GAMING companys going head to head, Now all we have left is one GAMING company and two damn "corporations"

Sony got to where they are today in the gaming world bacuase of the mass amounts of fat wallets over there at Sony HQ, simple as that

Sony fanboys have a beef with Microsoft because they keep seeing Microsoft open thier cheque book to steal yet another exclusive away from sony time after time........... Well , sony stopped EA from making games for the dreamcast so the way i see it now........... Its a dog eat dog world

I'll assume you're talking to me even though you spelt my name wrong. I have no allegience to MS, it's just that I don't like SCE. I have other Sony electronics in my house(DVD, amp, phone, etc), I just won't buy their consoles. Now if you'll excuse me my Saturn needs me, he's feeling lonely.

Also MS never made me pay for Vista or office 2007 as I get them free with my Tech Net subs.

If not for XBox I would be mostly PC and might own PS3.

But, if there was no Xbox 360, I would have bought a Wii and PS3. I regularly get two consoles every generation. So, if there was no Xbox 360, then I'd get PS3 because it would be the only other one besides the Wii.

Well, once it had enough games I was interested in.

Wii is just to casual and kiddish for me.

If I didn't own a 360 due it...er...not existing, I'd be splitting my game time roughly half way between PS3 and PCs.
