what makes it so funny??
The game by far is the greatest NHL game from EA I have ever played and I've picked up the series since NHL 95.
Be A Pro is an AMAZING experience, that not only is immersed with realism, but it also teaches you how to stay in position in regular games. Scoring is as fun as ever and it takes a soft hand to aim properly (Unless you're a pansy who uses auto aim :/ ) Dekeing has never been more fun, and stick lifting can be so frustrating.
My only complaint is the fighting engine. It's lacking greatly. Punch, dodge punch, fight is over. There's no skating around, the grabbing is weak, there's no grappling and holding the other guys arm, bobbing weaving. If that can be improved in NHL 010 (NHL 10 sounds lame) and perhaps some other lacking things, the game can improve further on this gem. A must buy for hockey fans. PS3 or 360.
No. By instant default, sports games will never be AAA games, because they're sports games. They're like the fuckin plague, and after one year, they're extremely irritating to look at, rotting in pawn shops. Play sports outside. Play video games inside.
So is the 360 version better than the PS3 version?

No.
The game deserves it, I will tell you that much.

Uh, yea, I doubt many people can just go out and play Ice Hockey whenever they want, or play any summer sports in the winter. Stop acting all high and mighty, they are great games.

I actually thought fighting was an improvement over last year. Last year it was trying to be too realistic, players clutching the jersey and you had to do god knows what with the analog stick. I like that the fighting is quick and easy, and has some pretty funny knockouts.
NHL 09 is an AAA title , from Metacritic...
