 Well, the Lib Dems popularity increases with every election, and this election a lot of people who would usually vote labour will be looking for an alternative, and the Lib Dems could be that.

I also think that the Lib Dems will be the unions' party of choice this time around, which will get them a lot of support among the working class.

The UK can be classified as a two-and-a-half party system.
