Suspected militants armed with automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and at least one suicide car bomb assaulted the U.S. Embassy in the Yemeni capital on Wednesday. The coordinated attack killed 16 people, including six assailaints, officials said.

The thing that interests me is the group claiming responsibility. They call themselves "Islamic Jihad in Yemen" (how original). They have hitherto not been associated with the Army of Aden nor the Jannubi Group; the two most well known terrorist groups in Yemen. They are most likely left over remnants from the Al Jihad (EIJ) group after it merged with Al-Qaeda. All this demonstrates to me is how decentralized terrorist operations are becoming.
