On the left, 1up people discuss the big 3 of E3.

Around the Network

"nintendo completely failed"

"mario cart, looks like a GC game" "all of them look like GC games"

"ssbb release date announced" = pure silence lol.

"nintendo dropped the ball"

Best moment, hearing that xbot chick say she needs to get a PS3 ha!

Did that 1up girl say Microsoft is having more success with casual gamers than Nintendo? ...

Forget it. But it was Nintendo, not Sony.

Love the 1up people. They've been pretty down on Sony for a while, this E3 was a shift.

Haha this was so embarrasing for them. They director/writer of the show literally said: "I don't care about non-hardcore gamers," and "I used to think I wanted to expand the market... but that's not what I want. I want game companies to be making games for me in the genres that I like."

Haha, that had me crying. What an objective reporter! What a selfless human being! The guy should be fired. I mean that. Not because I disagree with him -- although I do -- but because you can't say stuff like that if you're supposed to be a professional, objective journalist. No wonder 1up has seen its popularity wane (it was the fifth most frequented gaming website two years ago, it's now dropped out of the top 10).

For those interested in a laugh, check out 17 minutes in to the show. I'm not kidding -- a professional video game reviewer really did say "I don't care about non-hardcore gamers," in precisely those words. It's hilarious!

Edit: oop, according to this:

It's actually at number 10, not completely off it. Still, it was at number 5, and its number of hits per week has gone down drastically since 2005.

That's great, but if you want to read unopinionated drivel then watch your local news. This was a roundtable to discuss their opinions of the the situation. It's not supposed to be objective...

Really sad that you go after everyone who doesn't give a crap about Wii Fit or Wii Dance or whatever.
