It's not fake. This was announced a while back....before the Motus stuff.
In2games had a fair bit of experience doing motion control stuff on the PS2 with the Gametrak (albeit very differently to the Wii).
Part of me thinks they would have been far better off using their knowledge to create Wii games...they would have had a big knowledge base to draw from and it would have given them a great headstart as a Wii dev. This is a far riskier enterprise.
I wish these people wouldn't call the infrared portion of the controller the bit that senses motion.
It's rather confusing - Six Axis already has motion control, it's missing pointing capability.

It is fake until it is officially announced and shown off at a tradeshow. Until then, this still sits in the rumor bin. Just like how the "Newton/XMote" was totally real and was to be announced at E3. Ironically, the only motion sensing shown was MotionPlus by Nintendo.
