"I always liked to strut a little after I'd been roughed up to show the other guys I was tough enough to take it. But after I turned down their offer, they worked me over harder than they ever had before. For a long time. And they broke me." - John McCain
And he gave them the starting lineup, defensive for the Steelers and the Packers later as his squadron mates as evidence. Bend your arms behind your back and rotate them a full 360 and then do a little stretching on the rack while bamboo shoots are shoved into your stomach and your fingernails. Until then, fkusomot, you do not know John McCain.
In McCain's best-selling 1999 memoir "Faith of My Fathers," McCain writes:
"Once my condition had stabilized, my interrogators resumed their work. Demands for military information were accompanied by threats to terminate my medical treatment if I did not cooperate. Eventually, I gave them my ship's name and squadron number, and confirmed that my target had been the power plant. Pressed for more useful information, I gave the names of the Green Bay Packers offensive line, and said they were members of my squadron. When asked to identify future targets, I simply recited the names of a number of North Vietnamese cities that had already been bombed."
In 2005, A&E ran a movie version of "Faith of My Fathers."
And McCain discussed that precise clip on CNN.
The actor playing McCain, asked to name the men in his squadron, says: "Starr; Greg; McGee; Davis; Adderly; Brown; Ringo; Wood."
Cut back to real life. The CNN anchor asks McCain: "For those who don't know the story, were those NFL football players?" "That was the starting lineup of the Green Bay Packers, the first Super Bowl champions, yes," McCain responded.

"I always liked to strut a little after I'd been roughed up to show the other guys I was tough enough to take it. But after I turned down their offer, they worked me over harder than they ever had before. For a long time. And they broke me." - John McCain, RNC Acceptance Speech, 2008
So you admit, he lied. He lied when he said they broke him or he lied when he said they didn't break him. Either way he lied. He has left behind his honor and become a liar. In his quest for the presidency he's lying. Now being stretched out on a rack while bamboo shoots are shoved into your stomach and fingernails is being "roughed up" and "worked" over. Wow. Just wow.
Anyways, you've already admitted that you think the treatment McCain received from his captors was entirely ethical and proper. They were just trying to save their fellow citizens lives. You've already admitted that you would have been one of the people shoving bamboo shoots into him if you thought it would save one of your country mens lives. Good for you. You're one of the people that was for the torture of McCain while he was a prisoner of war.
So that's nice to know. Some of the people that support John McCain are the kind of people with that kind of honor and dignity that support the way the Vietnamese "worked over" John McCain. Just curious, are you also in support of the assassination of foreign leaders who are deemed to be a threat to the country?
Now why would I admit I am for that fuksumot? That is what black ops and double-tap assurance is for as well as ECHELON for intel.

I doubt you have any experience with the things you speak of and your avoidance of the topic at hand is typical of what you've been doing in this thread. Okay, so you're just here to shill for McCain. You don't have any experience with the issues at hand and just go off of talking points so you don't have to intellectually engage yourself. Fair enough.
If you pass the tests and profiling to enter the military and actually join you might want to pay attention to the class where you're taught that you can be held directly accountable for obeying a direct order that is unlawful.

Only one person would know the location. They would be with the weapon or have already commited suicide to hide the info.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
halogamer, do you realize that Jack Bauer ought to be arrested, tried, convicted, and shot?
[edit: as opposed to: assassinated by vigilantes, which is apparently how justice would operate in your preferred world.]

I know exactly what we're trained for. I used to do the training. ![]()
I'm afraid I'm going to have to invoke "Godwin's Law", or whatever it's called, but I do find this one appalling, scary and yet strangely comforting all at once.
I know exactly how you feel. You'll notice something if you read some of my posts carefully.
On one hand I hate the fact that W. commited war crimes, I've made calls several times to him being charged with crimes domestically.
At the same time, I don't want an American president on trial in an international court.
Sometimes, I'm amazed at how my favorite VGChartsterz (me being my favorite) can turn the mirror back on ourselves.
