Your response is "I dunno, ask these people. They all say I'm right, but I can't explain it."

Dude, you see that thing in you're holding? That's your ass. It was just handed to you.

My response--Have you ever worked at a campaign center--if not, then shut it.  I am following protocol in this instance.

To be fair, the leaning with ND has to do with a solitary poll and I would have to see more to be convinced of it.

So protocol is to not give out information or talk about the "issues"? Just redirect them to a website and tell them to talk to somebody else? Is it also protocol to call Obama a socialist and then run and hide? Do they instruct you to make accusations, recite talking points and then shrug your shoulders if somebody wants to talk about what you just said? If you can't put your money where your mouth is you need to not start fights you can't fight yourself.

I have been involved in government and in campaigns and I have never heard of a "protocol." They may tell you how to interact with people, but I am quite certain Halogamer violated that "protocol" when he posted pics of Obama with a hammer and sickle.

Things just keep getting worse and worse for McCain... Obama going solid in Wisconsin and Michigan, continuing Obama leads in FL, VA and OH, plus McCain losing ground in ND, GA, and WV. ~three weeks is a very small amount of time to turn this around.

WI and MI going solid is not bad for McCain. He was never going to win either of those states. I would say FL and OH are the most disconcerting.

Yeah.  Probably not something they'd approve of.

Even Bush would insist you not admit you were part of his campaign when using such a tactic.

OK, I guess I wasn't totally honest:  I don't want to call locally to listen to a PR hack either, partly for the reasons stated above.

By the way, I like how you didn't answer even one of my points.  All you could do was give me a link to the campaign's website.  It's not my job to do the research for you in a debate, but I looked at the PDF anyway.  (And hey, next time just link straight to the PDF, unless McCain's website is that desperate for hitcount.  Also, your link was broken by the space at the end.)

The PDF talk in generalities about how McCain is going to "balance the budget" by "reforming Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid".  It doesn't say anything about HOW he plans to reform them, or why it will save more money than whatever Obama has in mind.  It certainly doesn't address the fact that the benefits of the tax cut are massively skewed toward the rich and why that is supposedly good for America at large.  If progressive taxation is "Robin Hood welfare", then why don't I see a Flat Tax proposal in that document?

If you really have any "protocol" to follow, I'm sure it's along the lines of proselytization and showing people how awesome McCain's plans are by, yes, showing them to the website.  But what we are doing is totally different, and if you're going to spew all these allegations and then just point to the fucking website when anyone wants to dispute any of it, then just STFU and don't spew in the first place.  If you can't defend those claims, don't pretend they're anything more than pure opinion on your part.  If you can defend them, then go ahead and respond to my previous post.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Just for the record, I would have voted for McCain if he'd won the primary in 2000. But now he's older, more bitter or at least much more willing to use smear tactics, and I just don't think he is capable of dealing with the situation the country is now in. Plus I'm terrified of Palin being POTUS.

(Nixon might never have done what he did had he won in 1960, but we'll never know. Not that I think McCain would do anything similar, it just reminded me of that.)
