Kerry refuted the Swift Boat attacks, in part by producing documents from the DoD that backed him up and showed that they were dirty liars.

I wonder if McCain can do the same thing? The attacks in this case seem to WANT those documents.

The problem is, for McCain, that the fisrt crash (the one in spain that caused a black out) was pilot error ("clowning" around) in the Naval report and the second one was never resolved, the Navy did rule out engine failure as McCain claimed.

More importantly, another ultra-conservative/libertarian joins the new conservative party... well is voting Obama anyway, not officially joining the party (the Democrats).

Let me be the latest conservative/libertarian/whatever to leap onto the Barack Obama bandwagon. It’s a good thing my dear old mum and pup are no longer alive. They’d cut off my allowance

Honestly it's a really good article, that explains a lot of what I've been trying to say.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

That was a pretty good article.  I read it yesterday.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Nah, its obscure enough that most of the people on here would not have seen it even if you posted it a week from now.

I just read it. Good stuff. "Necessity is the mother of bipartisanship."

So how hard do you guys think Obama's gonna win? 300 electoral votes? 330? 350? Huge landslide, or hugest landslide?

He'll probably have at least 300. Either North Carolina or Missourri (maybe both) will go to McCain. Virginia and Colorado will probably both go to Obama. It is relatively probable that Ohio and Florida will go to Obama, but one might switch by election day. Nevada is looking pretty Obama too.

New Mexico, Iowa, and New Hampshire will go Obama for sure.

I'm predicting 364 for Obama as it stands right now- it's even possible that he could get 400 electoral votes if his momentum continues to build. But a range of 330-370 is the best bet right now.

304. 277 +FL (27)... Making the record: 25 out of 28 for Ohio.

More Obama signs are going up in Kansas City. So don't count MO out yet.
