Thank god, I played cool games...

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I had some nerd friends as a kid, but we never got into anything with dice. We got our role-playing out of our systems with drawing. I'd draw a big castle, and be like "That's my castle bitch" and pass it to my friend, and then he'd draw a giant tank exploding my castle, and pass it back, and I'd draw myself escaping on a flying carpet with all my gold or something, and we'd just do that forever, and we'd both be able to do anything we wanted, so it never ended. We were all about Nintendo and making text games in QBASIC or Visual BASIC, mostly Choose Your Own Adventure type stuff about murdering everybody at our school. (This was pre-Columbine and we were really really young, so this was still like, cute or something.)
And I think the best board game we ever played was:
That's pretty nerdy... wow... wow... I mean... wow... never mind.

Man, my childhood was all about board games and I never even HEARD of those other than Hero Quest (which I've never played).
My experience is more along the lines of WWII and railroad board games:
War at Sea
Axis & Allies (all THREE versions, I bet none of you know about the first one)
Victory in the Pacific
Shogun (AKA Samurai Swords)
Civilization (not Sid Meier) and Advanced Civilization
Rail Baron (AWESOME and apparently super rare because the publisher got bought out and the new owner refuses to reprint even though used copies go for like $70-100)
"Empire Builder" series (Nippon Rails, Eurorails, Iron Dragon, Lunar Rails, etc. Ironically I have yet to play the original version, Empire Builder.)
I got it from my Dad who's really into it.
1776 (he regularly wins national tournaments)
Advanced Third Reich
And then there's classic stuff like CAREERS. Oh, and obviously Monopoly, Risk, etc. I kick ass at Connect Four.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia. Thanks WordsofWisdom!
P.S. I have a bunch of friends who I've tried to get into board games, and always failed. But then I bought Iron Dragon, and the game lasted WAY longer than I thought (6 hours IIRC) and we were up way too late on a work night and I thought they'd never play it with me again, but then I find out that one of them bought a copy and they all want to play it all the time. And one of their moms turns out to be a Monopoly fanatic.
YES!
P.P.S. LBP is fun by yourself or online, but turns out it's REALLY fun as a party game. You all die constantly, laughing the whole way down. Same friends. One of them never wanted to play anything but Soul Calibur II before that.

Say do you have to be online to edit levels in LBP or to save them? Or can i keep levels on my HD and upload them later?

I'm pretty sure you don't have to be online to be in Create mode ... I could be wrong. I'll check.
[edit: I'm right.]

I haven't played a single one of those games, and the only 2 I've even heard the names of are Axis & Allies and the Civilization (not Sid Meier) game.
And I didn't know about that TMNT game either.
I feel like I really missed some awesomeness. I was all Risk, Monopoly, and the Omega Virus.
We need some sort of online Risk or something.
