Please stop posting Ann Coulter videos. This is really putting a damper on my zomg-Obama-won-euphoria.

Why, that is a really funny video.

Okay, I finally watched it.  It was awesome.  Thanks jerkface.

When someone does something illegal... deport them.  Bam.  I mean that's likely why the crimre rate is so low anyway.  They're afraid of being deported.

Why would Geraldo bring it up?  Who knows.

Either way... you just kidna proved O'Reily's point no?  Mayors being executives?

What I mean by priority is that O'Reilly acts like there's some epidemic illegal immigrant crime wave.  There's not.  Since lots of illegal immigrants have fake identification, and lots of not-illegal-immigrants don't have identification, it would be a big job for everyone to investigate every asshole with an accent.  So they would have to make it a priority over other things, probably over investigating more serious criminal matters.

And are you suggesting that mayors have the power to deport people?  News to me.  Ditto if there's a chain of command from the people that DO have that power to the mayors.

They have the power to report said people to the officials.  Which they are supposed to.  Or they can say "screw the laws" and tell people to turn a blind eye to this stuff.  Which some do.  Which is why i thought this had to do with California since it's where it hapens the most.

I don't think O'Reily was giving that impression at all.  Just that a tradegy like this happened... and there are likely other cases also ignored and that it's dangerous.

Also once again.  PEOPLE HAVE TO BE BOOKED.  The ID thing is a non issue since they do have to investigate everyone without ID or with fake IDs.  Even ones without accents.

People who's ID can't be identified and who won't give up there names can be held prisoner indefinitly as far as i know.(Ones commiting crimes that is.)

They knew he was an illeal immigrant every single time he was arrested.

Fair enough on the ID, but can you seriously tell me that the following quotes are not rampant fearmongering?  When no one here has disputed that they commit FEWER non-immigration-related crimes?

"the situation [is] out of control"

"The governor doesn't seem to care much about policing illegal aliens"  Seems True.
"the situation [is] out of control"  A little girl died due to it.
"our governments are failing to protect us"  "Out of control"
"stop the immigration madness" "They really should.  A crime that's illegal but isn't enforced does nobody any good."  Either start really deporting illegal immigrants... all of them.  Or just give up on controlled immigration.

So the next time anyone dies from a DUI repeat offender the situation is "out of control"?

If they really want to put the squeeze on illegal immigration they would go after all the companies that employ them en masse. They're coming here for jobs.

I they should cut down on illegal immigration but first they should massively increase the limits on legal immigration.

The problem I have with both you and O'Reilly is that you are making a huge deal about the fact that this ONE illegal immigrant committed this crime and turning it into a crime wave of drunken killer Mexicans.

[edit:  You ought to know perfectly well that my "immigration madness" he doesn't mean a dysfunctional immigration policy but brown people committing crimes.  The fact that one particular person who is brown committed a crime doesn't justify the conclusions he clearly wants everyone to draw.]

Yes.  Though the fact that drunk driving is out of control is another story.

When an Illegal immigrant has been arrested multiple times for problems like that... it is out of control. The fact that it happened once means it's likely there are others in a similar circumstance who have gone unreported.

Also, yeah they should go after the companies as well.  However, that won't get rid of most of the people living here illegally... and without proper deportation would just lead to the illegal immigrants having a higher crime rate then normal people.

And O'Reilly was exploiting a tragedy from the DRUNK DRIVING problem to stir up emotions about the IMMIGRATION problem.  Can we agree on that?

[edit:  And it's true, I should have said "also" go after the companies.  Otherwise it's no use because more will come to fill the jobs.]

He talks a lot of shit, but if you get to the end he does have some good things to say. I am glad that many conservatives at least recognize his ability, even though they don't agree with his positions.

"Which is not to say that Obama did not run a brilliant general election campaign. He did. In its tactically perfect minimalism, it was as well conceived and well executed as the electrifying, highflying, magic carpet ride of his primary victory. By the time of his Denver convention, Obama understood that he had to dispense with the magic and make himself kitchen-table real, accessible and, above all, reassuring. He did that. And when the economic tsunami hit, he understood that all he had to do was get out of the way. He did that too.

With him we get a president with the political intelligence of a Bill Clinton harnessed to the steely self-discipline of a Vladimir Putin. (I say this admiringly.) With these qualities, Obama will now bestride the political stage as largely as did Reagan."

Chris Krauthammer - Fox News Papanazi.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I'd say he used the tragedy from an Immigration and drunk driving story to stir up emotions about immigration... and Drunk Driving.

Pretty much every repeat offense by an illegal alien is one that shouldn't of happened because illegal aliens shouldn't be in the country in the first place.

I think that was his point that gets lost in the baiting for geraldo... and it's a true one.
