This happened to me a long time ago. You should make sure you transfer your saves to a usb in the 5 mins it stays on!

If you have a 60gb, the good news is that sony will send you the same model back. the bad news is that you'll hacve to pay $150 if it's out of warranty

oops, didn't see this thread...this seems to be happening a lot, huh?  I googled fixes for hard drives and that other thread came up...

anyway, so if I send my 60gb back I'll get the same model but not my hard drive, right?  I'm pretty sure I lost all of my data...

 

sony usually asks that you install the original hdd b4 sending it to them. You'll lose you hdd otherwise. You'll surely get the same model back at least here in the US
