Forums - Gaming - Microsofts 360 slowly dieing and fading away?

Do you think that the 360 is dieing?

Well many people like you think that it is.  With the recent price cut in the U.S, ("Microshafts" homeland) sales have not dramatically shot up as lots have people had come to expect that they would.  With sales at not even getting near to 100k.  This is a suprise to me as i thought that after a price cut the first and second days provided the best results.  In this case the first day. In a previous thread of sales predictions for the U.S in price cut week some even predicted as high as 150k for opening day sales.  PS3 has got equal sales to the 360 despite this price cut.  Will the 360 be able to match the PS3 on a consistant basis (for a month) worldwide again?

o ye the quote of microshaft is from when a 360fan was talking to me and he called it that. lol - it hasnt changed names has it?

I thought that was a good line as well lol

For a site about sales analysis, there are an awful lot of people in the forums that don't seem to be able to look past one weeks worth of sales before jumping to conclusions. Next week, if the 360 beats the PS3 by a large margin, I expect many "PS3 is doomed?" threads.

I'm pretty sure that we find it funny for different reasons. Not everyone finds attempts to hide an obvious bias funny.... some find it sad.

All that talk of xbox domination following a price cut has not been realised. When exactly was the cut?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

sigh...not ANOTHER one of these threads.

Maybe we can discuss this without so many Microshafts, ok?

Thread locked.
