 This fails.

A. We know MS was losing on 360's in 2006 (Which this was taken from)

B. It has the MSRP... Do you see a problem with that? Like the fact that the Manufactures aren't getting all that money.

C. This is from 2006.

D. This is from 2006

E. This is from 2006 and the 2 Ps3 models don't exist anymore along with that xbox model.

Ok i fixed my post but why would they sit out and re-evaluate is that not what they would be doing right now i mean they fixed the RROd problem did they not and most of those other reasons have nothing to do with stoppping them from being successfull for the rest of this generation and into the next one.

I dont think anyone should sit out next gen.  just think sony needs to start making money =)

Well since you asked.

It seems like MS is just doing everything on whims. Last generation was miserable for them. I say "re-evaluate" as in they should think "Why are we in this business" and their answer should be "To make a profit" and next in the business meeting should be "whats the best way to do that" and the answer should be discussed. And instead of just jumping in like the last 2 gens they should observe the market (not just american which it seems like they did) and come up with some tactics instead of going "Here is our product buy it.... hm... this isn't working lets do something else. Okay, here is Halo buy it.... well that worked well, but we are now suffering lower sales then our compitition let's try something else. Okay, here is a price cut buy it.... nothing yet. Okay heres another price cut."

I highly doubt the 360 could've survived so long off a few whims up at corporate...they did have a strategy and it was this "the box with the most games" Is it not true? Do they not have the best gaming library of all nex gen systems presently? Is it a bad strategy? I don't think so they got me to buy one.

ps3 was needed to win blu-ray.
ps3 will make most if not all the money it lost back, and have blu-ray to top it off. ps3 will continue with the brand new ip slaughterfest into the next gen which in all reality will be the most advanced system like always.

sony is looking to dominate the entire livingroom

oled/hd tv, bluray, ps3, sound system

in each of these they are very very strong. ps3 is necessary for that plan, and so is ps4.

Sony should skip because PS3 sales to due Blu Ray will atleast carry them until the gen. after that. This would actually help gain some of the lost profit that PS3 caused.

Nintendo needs to release their new console in 2009. WiiHD would make me druel.

Microsoft needs to stop making game consoles all-together.

 nintendo wont be relesing there new console to 2011 at the earliest, probably later than that.  2009 will be the year wii gets into its stride

Sony should skip it cause they already lost their monopoly and agaisnt Microsoft, they probably will never get it back.
