Forums - Gaming - Who's the Daddy?

I am! Or at least I will be in December. And I'm interested to know what you're opinions are regarding bringing up kids as gamers. I think it is actually possible that long periods of gaming alone could have a detrimental effect on people, especially if done from a young age. So I think gaming in moderation is something I'd like to teach him, at least in theory. Trouble is I'll look like a hypocrit on the rare occassions I do "binge game". Also, I don't like the idea of forcing my hobby onto my children but I also don't like the idea of my children growing up ignorant.

Are there any parents with advice? What are you're views on enlightening/indoctrinating the next generation?
