Starcraft being senseless again...

1 real JRPG on PS3 (crappy one at that) and it "hasn't proven it's able to sell JRPGs".

I can't wait till FFXIII comes out in Japan so I can make an idiotic claim like 'PS3 JRPGs outsold 360 ones!!11!!'

ugh.

Starcraft is right about the sales. Does anyone really believe the game sold poorly on the 360? However, the game will come to the PS3. There is no doubt about it. Its a crying shame if it didn't.

The PS3 can't prove anything, because it doesn't really have any JRPG to prove. Enchanted Arms is the only multiplat RPG, and it sold better on the PS3. I'm not going to say one console is a better JRPG seller, until they both get enough high profile software to warrant an argument. Simple as that. Wait till the end of 09 before we argue which is a better JRPG console. For now, I'll let the xbox360 have it.

 Disgaea 3 is selling worse on PS3 then Vesperia on 360. We can expect a port then of that too?



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

The major problem with "the PS3 has to prove" "the xbox has proven" is that IF the PS3 has a major hit with whatever RPG they get, it'll always be "well, PS3-gamers are starving for an RPG and will buy whatever just to fulfill their RPG-appetite", so it's a never-ending discussion anyway.

I said as much a few posts up. 

But some people in particular enjoy making the majority of their posts based off of speculation, or not all the information.

Starcraft, you can keep being stubborn, but I'm gonna lay it down straight:

the 360's only beating the PS3 in terms of RPG sales by default. Sure, the 360 is the only console proven to sell jrpg's decent (though still nothing over 1 mil). But it's winning a one pony race.

For the sake of your credibility, I'd wait until the PS3's been thoroughly tested in its jrpg sellig ability before declaring the 360 the jrpg sales leader. White Knight Chronicles would probably be a good preview of the PS3's jrpg pushing abilities. FF 13's 360 vs PS3 sales will be THE test.

Until then there's really not much to be said.

And for the record, I don't doubt for a second KH3 and FFv13 will sell multiple millions. And that'll be several times the sales of the best selling 360 exclusive jrpg, which would be what, Lost Odyssey? Which'll probably max out at just over 1 mil.
