Forums - General - Official VGChartz members for McCain thread

OK, so as a volunteer and Young Republican and Arlington County VA Repub. Council member, I feel it would be good to get all US members of VGC who support McCain or have thoughts of leaning towards a McCain/Palin vote in Nov. together.  It will be a way to get official volunteers together, organize potential voters, etc.  As a McCain staffer, I am would be happy to send official info for the campaign to posters by PM.

Please-US residents only; no political bashing--only professional debate if required.

Thanks.

P.S.: This would be a good sticky, btw.

Let me just say right off the bat that this is definitely not going to get stickied.

Commence with the thread ladies and gentlemen.

Lol.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Awesome!
Not many people are coming. :(
Anyway, did you hear about Obama calling Palin a pig? I thought his entire mission was to be a different politition, and now he's stooped to name calling. Disgraceful.

As long as you don't mind me making an Obama, Nader, Barr, Chef Boyardee, George Harrison, The Riddler, Donkey Kong, Cocaine, and Ninja sticky.

I'm all for those stickies, Montana. Especially Chef Boyardee.

Mmm, delicious.

In the spirit of a tradition of reasoned American discourse...

Some positives about McCain:

Years of service to the United States.

Pragmatic and moralistic, stands up for what he believes in when it is not futile, works with people he doesn't agree with.

Moderate fiscal conservative, who believes government spending shouldn't be wasteful but is not opposed to Keynesian tax cuts or spending when needed.

Smart and rational. (read: Not Bush.)

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Don't forget an Anarchy sticky. =)
