No matter what remember... the planet will be fine... long after we are gone this planet will still be here and if there are things that the planet can't get rid off it'll incorporate it into paradigm

unless we do make a black hole and destroy it, of course.

I can't take anything Mr. Bubbles says seriously after the Obama=antichrist topic. To steal a phrase from (I think it may have been stof, but directed towards Bigjon in a different topic) that's like handing in your "I can discuss important topics" member card and joining team asinine. Anything after his mindful consideration of how Obama fits prophecy and is most likely the antichrist anything else just comes out like the teacher in peanuts.

if you wish to ignore facts, simply because i have stated them, go right ahead.

You heard it here first:

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I wonder why the lack of spots... any ideas on why?

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Hmmm, so we should be in a cooling cycle, yet instead we are warming up. This seems to support that global warming is real and of man's doing.

Has anyone seen Sunshine? We need to detonate a nuke in the core of the sun, like now!

Sunspots seem to be tied in with the heating and cooling of the Earth. You must remember that this past month with no sunspot activity was merely that - one month.

The issue is that *if* something happens to where there are no, or very few, sunspots for a long period of time, it will most likely lead to a said mini-ice age.

Compare sunspot activity with temperature changes:

Sunspot activity:

Global Temperature:

The areas to key in on for both charts are 1860-1920, and then post-2000. It seems that they are linked to eachother. Obviously, if the suns temperature increases any, it can and should effect the temperature of the earth. Hopefully this huge reduction in sunspots is only a fluke, rather than a major reduction in sunspots, which would severely cool the Earth down, leading to famine, and all kinds of other things.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
