So When my XBOX Live Gold promo ends after 1 month and my account becomes Silver.

I will lose:

1) The ability to play all games online, or is it dependant upon the content and/or the game.

2) Would that include XBLA games?

and 3) what else?

I think the gamerscore card stays in-tact with the achievements.  Is that notion correct as well.

1. Correct. XBL Gold allows for online play.

2. Correct. XBLA games need Gold as well to be played online.

3. I think that's "about it". You do have to wait an extra week for demo downlodas on new games, but I don't think there's much else.

You can't play games online. Any of them. But you should still be able to do everything else.

Also one more thing. XBOX Live Gold covers all the profiles on my 360 or just one?

You can however play subscription based games like final fantasy 11 online without gold.

All two of them.  Phantasy Star Online and FF IX.  Or are their any others?  Oh, but they have their own individual subscription fees.  Don't want you (Commando) to go out and buy these games expecting to play them for free online.

*Some* games will allow a Guest account to play under a gold account on live for free.  Halo 3 and Castle Crashers both I know for sure.  Probably more too.  Usually games that allow splitscreen multiplayer will allow Guests.

If she wants to play under her gamercard with you online then you will need another gold account.  My girlfriend became obsessed with achievements so I pay for 2 gold accounts.  It's not bad because I got them for $23 each shipped.  Look around for deals they are there.
