I think they are releasing CoD world at war, far too soon. People are not hungry enough yet for another one.

COD4 , no doubt about this...

I know their excuse is it's the Pacific War, but what about MOH Rising Sun, and BF 1942? 2 games I can think of off the top of my head that involved the pacific front. Also, the American weapons will be exactly the same as any other WWII game. Why can't we have this?

"The Corner Shot APR (pictured) is a hinged gun with the power of an assault rifle, which lets you shoot around corners. How cool would that be?"

"The XM25 Advanced Airburst Weapon System is like a grenade launcher, only with a super-high tech twist. It can be set to detonate accurately without impact. Yup, laser targeting will calculate distance to a target, so you can aim at the structure the enemy is using as cover, fire over it (or past it), then watch as the detonation occurs in just the right place to take out your target."

"The Barrett XM-109 is no ordinary sniper rifle. Try imagining the accuracy of a regular sniper rifle in your FPS, only with the attack power of an Apache helicopter. Yup, the equivalent of a Hellfire missile from Desert Strike in your hands. With a scope on it. That's not just a bang, that's a frikkin' KABOOM. Packing enough punch to destroy even lightly armoured vehicles at 2,500 metres, we reckon we'd save it until we met one of the inevitable racist idiots on Xbox Live."

Frankly a game with some of the stuff mentioned in the article would be loads better

cod4 is the no brainer

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Yeah, I was thinking this. CoD4 is still heavily played and enjoyed by many gamers, another one too soon could cause the audience to grow bored.

Interesting to see that so far, no votes for COD5....will sales reflect this?

I just dont know

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

So my guestion is which one will sell most.

Let me guess? Call of Duty4. That's no question. Treyarch are hobby programmers compared to Infinity Wards.

COD4 for sure, but if COD5 is good enough then ill pick it up, but setting that in Vietnam would be so much better. It will still sell well without a doubt, it just wont be near Cod4 numbers.

cod4 EASILY

cod5 will probs be a million seller but wont have the same rampant success as cod4

The only problem with this consensus is that it's based on beliefs such as most gamers knowing or caring that it's not by the same development team, or that enough people are sick of WWII, when they may have just been sick of Normandy.

Doesn't prove the game will sell better, but it shows your belief that it won't is based on faulty reasoning.

I'm not guessing because I admit I don't have good reason to assume one way or the other.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
