Excelent! Here we pay 1500 US$ in the official X360. With this new price we could finnaly pay +/- 1125 US$ (here the tax is extremelly high)

Sony and Microsoft must be so pissed off with Nintendo and the Wii, there they were all set with their all so powerful and spectacular consoles when the Wii comes along takes all the thunder and both companies have to lose even more money just to try and keep up with the Wii.

I think microsoft's problem is having 3 different versions of their console. Sure, you could get the $299 one, but is it worth it? We (forumers) know the difference between all these versions, but does the mass market understand? No. Will they ever? Probably not.

They should just cut the price now since everyone knows its coming.  Otherwise, their console sales will drop dramatically over the new few months while people wait for the price cut.  Giving the Wii a bigger edge.

Maybe thats what they want... People to save up their money for the price cut, and then buy an Elite for 449, instead of the sold-out-Wii.

yeah i agree with whatever on this one....consumers know that the price cut is coming...so they should just prepare everyone for it....microsoft is such a tease...:P
