At least, that's what I said to a Scot this morning, and he agreed.

lol, wow at xenophobia! seriously guys, the only time im even remotley anti any nation is when my nation is playing them in a sport even then its just sport wise, i have nothing against scots (i just like to see England beat them!)

If you want the full story, my Aunt's boyfriend is Scottish, and it was my great Aunt's and Uncle's 50th anniversary the night before. A couple of Americans had flown over to celebrate, and my Aunt and her boyfriend came down to celebrate it.

The conversation quickly got on to cricket, and Murray, and one of the people there said "As an Englishman, I do not support Murray", and when questioned it was because of his anti-English comments.

One of the Americans then asked what this anti-ness betweem the English and the Scots was, and someone said it was rivalry. I then piped up (jokingly) "Yeah, it's because we're better, and they're jealous". Everyone, laughing, turned to the Scot on the table, who was bright red, and laughing, said "Yeah, I guess it's true".

I then went on to explain how the English-Scottish rivaly is very similar to the US-Canadian rivalry.

Nothing is serious, if I truely believed it, I would never have said it.

Just remembered I'm like 1/18th Scottish! hoorah!
