WTF?!... From Nov 2005 till August 2008 it has sold ~21 million units. 3rd full Christmas is usually the strongest so it'll only decline after this year in WW Yearly sales... So, wishful thinking puts X360 at 26 million for 31-12-2008 (or 12-31-2008) after 3 years. Another 3 years with an average decline of 15% per year puts the X360 at:
33 million in late 2009.
39-40 million in late 2010.
45 million in late 2011. And that is if it keeps selling decent levels. So this is quite optimistic. And honestly, in 2011 you'll see some new generation of consoles on the market from atleast one company, you can bet on that!
It'll keep selling a little more after this and will end up in the high 40's and might just crack 50... But that's my optimistic guestimate. It could very well start selling more badly earlier in it's lifecycle, putting it just around 42 million total. And honestly, it still has a long way to go! So if you still think 65-70 I'm willing to make a bet with you!
