Sorry thought you lived in the US. Well from the months of July to mid October it is denoted as "Hurricane" season considering this is when the most activity occurs within the Atlantic and Gulf. And don't take it personally.. I use the F word all the time... it's just normal for me not using it as an insult. To the contrary of what most may think... I don't consider any kind of curse word to be bad.

No worries

And i understand it must be rough

Yea I'm just stressed right now so I hope I don't come off as too brutal and harsh.

When does the Hurricane season end?

Normally around the end of September but more recently thx to Global Warming it's been lasting til mid-October and sometimes early Novemeber(aka 2005 season).

That sucks man, If I go to US im never going during huricane season. May FTW

Ahh... Global Warming...

Longer hotter summers, warmer winters, and more hurricanes.

Why must every action have an opposite reaction of the same force? :/

I enjoy longer summers, and warmer winters, but people dealing with hurricanes probably don't care much about that.

oh and Makingmusic I'm sorry bro but if this hits New Orleans bro its gone dude and it may never come back. I mean this would be its nuke.

Wouldn't it be better just to abandon New Orleans and cut your losses? I mean it's just not a good place to build!

I mean I know it has important cultural status, but surely the cost of the last hurricane was astronomical?

Well I've been saying it for awhile that when you fuck with mother nature she gets pissed.  And unfortunately SHE ALWAYS WINS AND GETS WHAT SHE WANTS.  No matter the cost or the damage or the destruction she will return to her former peace.  We stirred up the pot big time and she's fighting back and we are going to go down because of it.  I mean this is only the beginning with more hurricanes.  Soon places under sea level(New Orleans) will be the new Atlantis because they'll be flooded.

The terrible thing about it is there is nothing we can do to stop it... even if today we became efficient and "green" as the term goes.  We may be able to stop our destruction but bad things still will happen.  I just hope I"m not alive to see most of them.

Think of not only the economic value of New Orleans but the personal sentiment and cultural history.  I mean this is one of the greatest cities in America if not #1 itself when it comes to things like that.  And I don't mean to be blunt but would you simply abandon your home and city when it's the only thing you've ever known.  I mean all this might seem silly when thinking about the consequences of it all but people are not going to let New Orleans go until it's completely gone.

Glad to live somewhat in the north eastern area....Let God do his thing. It's his creation, he said he would not flood the earth again. So, just work around it.

Other than that its, only mans prediction and not really the truth. It could die off...who knows? Just be prepared.

Bah, that sucks for yall and I hate to say this, but I hope this doesn't ruin the weekend in North Texas.  I'm in no way worried about getting hit by any hurricane, but I am worried about it raining because I'm getting married this weekend and it's an outside wedding.  >_<

How did no one in this thread notice this?  That's big news to me.

I'd rather get longer winters than longer summers.
