See title. Imo it would be good and would cut out some of the retail middleman. Of course the games would still need to sell in the stores but this would be a MSFT argument for the future of Live, i.e. discless future. How about it?

no.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive
Yes. I honestly have no need for discs. If all games came downloadable, that is the way I would purchase them.
I personally want a disc, but I wouldn't mind if full games came to XBLA or PSN, on one condition:
They have to be cheaper. There's no packaging, disc, shipping, retailer cut, etc, like how digital music is usually cheaper than a CD.
PSN: chenguo4
Current playing: No More Heroes
They'll need a pretty big hard drive then. Or allow you to save the games to a flash drive that you format through the Xbox with their own file format with some code tied to the thumb drive and your 360 so you can't pirate and what not....
Then yes... I can see it working.
@Jagged You think b/c of the advances in Net infrastructure? They could do it now, however, 8.5 GB is a lot to dl in a short period of time. It could be that they could compress it like the Xbox.
sony have already taken this on board. there quite a few retail games available on psn which i think its great move by sony. although i personally would get a disc if a had the choice.
The retailers will be pisssed though and they will certainly try to force developers/publishers to release hard copies of the games.
One thing is PC going digital, another thing is consoles going digital. Retailers can't survive without them.

I agree with you 100%. The games definitely should be cheaper. By at LEAST $10 - $15. This would be good for everybody.
