Fable 2 is a dead cert. I think time constraints will keep me away from Fallout 3 this side of December.

Fable, Fallout, then Gears then I'll be done for the year for new game purchases. Think I'll beat Fable before I buy Fallout though. Buying Fable and Gears on release day.

I saw some videos of Fallout 3, especially from the start where the vault opens up. It recalled all the good memories from Fallout 1/2 for me and 4 videos after that just further reinforced the "Fallout" vibe I was getting from the game. -------------------------------------------------------------- For me it went from "meh" to "must buy" in the space of a few videos. So while I did get the Oblivion vibe from the game, the feel of the universe was definately Fallout and the humor and moral choices were definately there. I personally liked the Vault-Tec system because it seemed very playable and it captured whats best from the first two games without the negatives from the excessively long combat. It freed everything up, and I like that. ------------------------------------------------------------ From just my impressions it looks like a very fitting take on the Fallout universe and I would say that it deserves to wear the legendary name.------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: This site loves to eat paragraphs, especially mine! :'-(
Tease.

I will buy both on launch day. Fable 2 for X360 and Fallout 3 for PC.
I can get fable 2 for 39.99...but im not sure i should. I'm sure game will be amazing...but I like action. Do you think Fable 2 will be able to hold the attention span of a guy that likes Ninja Gaiden like games and FPS games?
As far as Fallout 3...I hated Oblivion so I will prolly pass on this...unless you guys think that will have more action as well.

If not, get it on Oct 24 and build my good character up as much as I can until Fallout 3 comes out on Oct 31. I will try to explore as many side quests and areas as poss in Fallout 3 but wont probably reach the ending quests because ... Gears 2 comes out on Nov 7. I will play through the campaign which will take a few days, then play multiplayer and the harder difficulties. I will probably be sucked into Gears 2 for 2-3 weeks. Then maybe around end of Nov, I will go back to play a bad character for Fable 2 and finish the ending quests and remaining side quests in Fallout 3. Oh wait, what about Left 4 Dead, Banjo Kazooie, EndWar, Red Alert 3, The Last Remnant, Prince of Persia, GH:World Tour, Far Cry 2??? Basically Im screwed.... |
That about sums it up for me. Going to be doing a lot of regifting this Xmas :P
I *might*, I'm not sure yet. I'm about 90% sure I'll be picking up Fable 2 at least.
I was 100% on Fallout 3 until E3 came around and just lost all hype I had about it. If I do pick it up, it likely won't be day 1 and it will be after I read several reviews.
-edit-
Chances of me getting games in the coming months
There are probable other awesome things I'm looking forward to, those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head
YES and YES!
They are both HIGH on my list of games to buy this holiday season. In fact, they are both day one purchases for sure.
