Forums - General - So I just got done reading Rotten Tomatoes bottom 100 (Movies) and...

Whereas I find the vast majority of their picks agreeable I feel that the let Elektra off to easy, It should've definatly been in the top 50.

They had the Skulls listed.  Sure I didn't like the teen appeal of the movie, but still it really wasn't that bad of a movie.  I heard it's sequals were pretty lame, but the first one wasn't bad.  The Covenant is definatly worthy totake it's place.

Gods & Generals.  Hate Ted Turner much?  That was an excellent movie.  The acting/charachters were as they should have been!!  This definatly should have been NO where NEAR this list.  WTF!

and Battlefield Earth? Top (Bottom) 20!  Why the Hell do people hate this movie so much?  I remember working at Blockbuster and hearing people say hou much they hated it, and a lot of people (including RT appearently) badmouth it like it's Mystery Men or something.  WTH why?  It wasn't a bad movie.  It wasn't epic, but it had a plot, it had some thought.  Charachter development, acting with emotion (some).  I mean it wasn't Cloverfield or Star Wars or Rocky or anything Awesome but it was a Solid 7.  It was better than Swordfish.  I just don't get it.  It's irrational to me that people hate it.

On the opposite of things I personally Think Quentin Tarantino's shitty movies deserve this treatment yet somehow they get epic renown like the man is some kind of genius.  Once again I don't get it.  Kill Bill was so bad that when I was forced to watch parts of it I was literally in physical pain!! I got one of the WORST headaches I've ever felt.  KILL BILL was so bad it HURT me!  It should be on the list in my opinion.  I've never seen such terrible corieographie (sp) in my life! ever! I could sooner sit throught *shudder Lethal Weapon 4 (uhg!  shoulda been on the list too) again!

Movies that should have made it that aren't mentioned above:  Zoolander, I saw 4 minutes of it and boy was it terrible.  More people said that it was the worst movie they had ever seen (worked at Blockbuster, heard it A LOT) than people who disliked Battlefield Earth.  Or any other movie for that matter.  From a collective opinion standpoint.  It is the worst movie of all time.  Period.   The Pledge.  20+ minute scene with an elderly Jack Nicholson fishing = Epic Fail.  The movie suffered ffrom Alzheimers and that was the efffect it left the viewer with.  DOn't get me started.  Natinal Lampoon's Van Wilder.  This was supposed to be Senior Trip 2.  My balls still hurt from this.  MAJOR kick in the pants.

"Picks?" They rank review averages compiled by various movie critics and sites (Ebert & Roeper, for example). And just because you think a movie was good/bad doesn't mean that the opinion of someone else is wrong. In fact, if you're comparing your opinions to those of a movie critic, who do you think is likely more accurate in that situation?

I own the worst movie of all time. It's so bad you've never heard of it. Last I czeched it wasn't rated low on IMDB because it didn't even have 10 votes.

It's called BRONX EXECUTIONER.

Anybody who pisses me off in my own house is forced to watch it.

thanks Ghost, I'll be adding Bronx Executioner to my list.

In return, you have to put DA HIP HOP WITCH on your list. Not only is it an excrutiatingly un-watchable monstrosity, but it also has VAnilla Ice in it.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Wow, the amount of whining in that post is ridiculous.

@ Commando - Have you seen Robot Monster? Glen or Glenda? Manos: Hands of Fate? Troll 2? Carnosaur? Plan 9 from Outer Space? The Beast of the Yucca Flats? Eegah? House of the Dead? Alone in the Dark?

If you haven't seen the bottom of the drive-in barrel, the mind of Ed Wood run amok, the funding loops of Uwe Boll run amoker or the shamelest of the B flicks, you don't know bad movies.

Now go watch White Chicks and A Sound of Thunder.

Ed Wood RUles! LOL! Yes I have Glen or Glenda and Beast of Yucca Flats.
and Plan 9 (Originally supposed to be called Graverobbers from outer space). The name was changed because Ed Wood's main moonetary backers was a Baptist Church. LOL!

Ed Wood's limitations, in all seriousness, were two-fold. One the techniques and effects of the time were in no comparison to todays. His movies still lacked technical prestige for the time, but the Grade A movies of the time would still look bad today. Also the guy had a ridiculous crew, didn't have filming permits, and had little to no budget (No big contracts). So the fact that he was able to put any kind of a movie together at all is actually impressive.

Even then the actual writting of the scripts weren't that bad. The execution was just typically off. Mostly due to the fact he had a cast of non-actors besides Lugosi.

If you take Ed Woods work into a comparison view against a big budget, every thing available to them, POS script with Rob Schnieder starring as Doube Douchebag! then yeah ED Woods movies stand head and shoulders above that crap!

DA HIP HOP WITCH? I'm on it!

The two worst movies I've ever seen starred Madonna and Mariah Carey respectively, followed by Son of the Mask and Alone in the Dark.

I'm not surprised that they're all on the list.
