I'm gettign a new Gateway P-7811 FX Edition, as the reviews were very positive on them, and I need a gaming laptop  when I travel.  Sony sux tho, and are usually overprice...more than macs.

 

 

Sony usually make the best laptops, they last long and look very sleek. Also macs are most likely the most overpriced laptops on the market.

hp dell apple acer toshiba etc etc have done recalls too.

You have got to be kidding. Acer???

Acer laptops are usually bloated with junk software but that's usually offset by better hardware at lower prices so yes, their hardware is of good quality.

I have the Dell XPS Laptop Line. I really dont like their desktops, but I have loved my XPS and from experience, have found the line to be very reliable and well built.

Not really that big news, definitely not something that shows Sony needs "Help". Im sure they sell a few Million laptops a year, 440k is a big number, but sounds like it only effected a couple runs.

Though the snipes at Sony engineering are pretty silly. How many millions upon millions of TVs, Laptops, Phones, Gaming Machines, stereos and MP3 players do they sell a year? How many get recalled due to engineering defects? So far this year I have heard of 440k of them.

Anyways, who buys a Sony laptop? Its all about the XPS. Wish my crappy Compaq laptop was an XPS.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
