I forgot to mention that I was a little turned off by Jack Layton criticizing Harper for wearing sweaters, which was a cheap shot (He asked if Harper keeps the Conservative platform in his sweater) and I don't think Harper would do a mustache cheap shot (though a shitting Puffin is worse but that was not authorized by Harper himself). I was also sick of the whole plagiarized speech being thrown back in his face constantly even though it was not his fault, but his former speech writer's.
You might be right about a pan-Canadian Bloc, but it's environmental and anti-oil company agenda would not fare well in Alberta. One thing I didn't like about Duceppe is that he was bringing a lot questions back to the tax-cuts that the oil company benefit from (like every corporation) and while I probably agree with his point, it takes away from a debate for someone to always bring back the same point over and over. But I'd say the (non-Alberta and mostly Quebec) populists ate up that part.
