Am i the only one who would just be massively happy with Gears2 just being 20% better than the first. The first was amazing.

Gears2 looks kick ass and, although its clearly evolutionary not revolutionary that will sit just fine with me and the 4-5 million other people who will have bought this game before Xmas.

@Paul_Warren: your fanboy comments are totally irrelevant in the context of the thread. This is about Gears2 not about comparing game libraries. Stop trying to find reasons to jump into a fanboy war of words. You go and enjoy your PS3 games and we'll enjoy our 360 games!

using metacritic as your basis. PS3 only has 5 games with a 90+, 4 of those games can be found on 360.  The 360 has 14 games with a 90+, 7 games are exclusive.

Explain how they are irrelevant? It seems that the thread is about how Epic is trying to say that Gears 2 is going to receive as high of a rating as Grand Theft Auto IV and MGS IV and be a better game than both. I'm just simply pointing out that they will fail to meet this aspiration.

All he is saying is that they cranked it up a notch.  He is not speaking in reference to reviews.

Well for one thing, it has totally overcome the fan boy bias against it which was leading to higher props for the 360, so that now the ball is in the PS3's court. It has beat the 360 in seven out of the last nine months in NPD sales charts. It has cut the 360's lead in Europe from 750,000 before MGS 4 was released to now under 400,000 units totally kicking the 360's rump in European sales again last week by over 40,000 units even though the 360 has been at the $199.99 price point in Europe since last Spring. And all of this is just the beginning for the PS3 with terrific games like Little Big Planet, FFXIII and Versus XIII (which the 360 isn't getting and will have no reason to get as by the time it is released the PS3's owner base will be over 20 K, ), Resistance 2 (I predict it will review just as high as Gears of War 2 at IGN), Infamous, God of War III, the completed Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, a better version of Rage, and MAG and Heavy Rain (two games which the 360 can't even begin to emulate).

I can't believe so many forum members never watched spinal tap, going to eleven is a pop culture coined by it. Look all epic meant was that if the first gears was gonna be an AAA game then by the amount of work they put in the sequel, It will be a whole nother notch they take the game to.

I prefer Killer Barbies to Spinal Tap.
