Sounds like Gears of War 2 will be ten times better than the original.

Josh: The first one was good and if we can find a way to do ten times better, than I'd be impressed. That sounds hard, but sure, why not? I say the original Gears was like the ten, but sure, let's go to eleven. Like Spinal Tap, right? Let's go to eleven.

Typical american dev BS (you can count Itagaki in as well). I wouldn't be surprised if this game's story will suck even more than the first (if that's even possible).
These guys should really stop talking and let the game speak.

That's uncalled for... What's wrong with him stating that the sequel will be better then the first? He's not bashing any console or other game. He's not putting anyone down, and he's making a Spinal Tap references!!

That's seems like a lot of hate for a few standard comments

Gears 1 wasn't a 10. There have only been two 10's so far in this gen: Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA IV. IGN only gave Gears a 9.4; however, if it does turn out to be 10 times better than the first, it will still only get a 94 at Metacritic (9.4 x 10 = 94), so it will only be a 94 not a 110, and that is about what the game will deserve.

No, but I've seen its videos. And it is just more of the same. Expect the majority of its review scores to be no higher than those for Halo 2 were in comparison to Halo 1. It could actually be lower as most 360 titles this year really haven't been up to expectations. In comparison, Resistance 2 will get higher review scores than Resistance 1 which could also put it at a 94. The game that is really going to be the standout for the latter part of the year will be Fallout 3, and I expect it to receive a 95.

Well imo gears 1 lived up to the hype and so will 2.

I have also seen vids and imo they are awesome.

This sir, is your opinion, and in my opinion, completely wrong.

You mentioned metacrtic, so lets take a look at MGS4 there...OH... 94 as well, NOT a 100.  Therefore it was NOT a 10 for everyone.  GTA IV was higher than both, but again, not a 100.

Having your own opinion is fun, everyone can do it!  If you state your opinion as fact though you should be called on it.

On topic, I would expect Gears to improve on what many consider an already fantastic game.  Absolutely looking forward to it as much for the single player as the multiplayer.

 

The trailer "I have a rendezvous with death" was pretty cool, but actual gameplay videos for Gears 2 have been less so.
