well all i have to say is if EU get a price cut we can assume it is going to be of at least 20pounds or no point in cutting the price. that brings the 360 30pounds more then a ps2 which isnt tht much money when you consider the age of the releative consoles.

Considering there are taxes on the advertised prices ranging from 15-25%, then the prices are not that different than in the US, which is rare.

I really don't think that anything can bring the 360 above the ps3 in europe at this point. I mean, the ps3 is already £110 (~$200 for the currency conversion challenged) more in most retailers and it still outsells it...
MS better concentrate on its software revenue in europe which is what brings them most of the profits.

well judging by this weeks sales for Europe, the 360 could definitely use another price cut, the ps3 almost sold double the amount that 360's sold. ouch!!

- I think it will not happen

- if they do it, it will help the sales (obviously)

- if they dont do it, Xbox360 will bomb in europe for Xmas...

Their gaming division lost 200mil or something in their last quarter which saw the price of the 360 drop by 80 euro's, i wonder what their next quarter will be like after the price drop in japan and NA.

LOL.  So it went from being cheaper, to being almost as cheap.

I think they are up %100.  That is a big change.  Might not be much compared to the competition, but that is a good change.

The UK is in recession, we need all the help we can get with cheaper consoles ect

But it was only only about £20 when it came to street level, we already get discounts from retailers and the discounts aren't as good as they were when the price was higher.

==> In france, befroe the price, there was no "special offers", so, for us, the 80 euros price cut was a 80 euros price cut.

I dont even mention the "very special offer" :

Arcade + Halo3 + PGR4 + GTA4 + 2paddle = 200 euros ... during 1 month.

This is a lot of price cutting going on from MS this week... We'll see the effect it has, but again, I can't wait to see this play out in this quarters financial results.
