Thats the ticket attack her religious beliefs...

Most Christians believe in something known as the soveriegnty of God. They believe that God is in control, and everything that heads onto your path came from God, or he allowed it.

Let me ask, what do you believe in? What controls what? Fate? destiny? You believe in something. Do you want people to trash what you believe.

It was god that gave me these anal warts??? That explains a lot... I'm going to run down to my church quick and pray for forgiveness.

I'm sure it's something you did, not God.

You don't have to believe in God but i don't understand the hate.  Many christians don't like what I believe but I don't think they hate me.

I'm sorry if you took my joke about anal warts as hate towards christians, I didn't mean it that way. More a jab at people of all faiths who think that everything that heads onto your path came from God, or he allowed it, as the previous poster stated. I don't believe that at all. My anal warts were probably caused by the christian devil or his Islamic/Hindu/jewish counterpart.

That isn't nearly as bad as her saying a few months before selection that "she needs someone to tell her what the vice president does every day".

As to the why bother hating christian things, its almost exclusively that whole missionary thing. If Christains were like Jews and just kept their religion to themselves, went to church and that was that it would be one thing, but this whole bashing gays, not letting women choose whether to have an abortion, trying to get prayer and creationism in schools thing gets really really old really fast.

If you don't want to raise the ire of everyone who isn't fanatical, don't push your beliefs on them. There were probably more jews then Christains at my high school but I never once had any run ins with the Jews about religious belief but many of the Christains just pushed and pushed on everyone at every opportunity.

When they say things like the Palin teen pregnancy is a personal matter then why the hell are they trying to keep other teens from making the SAME personal choice about whether or not to keep it? If religion is so personal, keep it to yourself.

In the same vein when is the last time you heard about an athiest flying planes into buildings, shooting doctors or starting a "crusade" in the Islamic world (the latest crusade being the one started by Bush, yes he called it just that, a friggin CRUSADE the worst possible word a christain could use to discribe invading an islamic country).  The reason religion is so dangerous is that it has real world consequences for believers and non believers alike, when fanatical religion led men to crash planes into the WTC on 9/11 the religous man and the athiest man alike died in the name of fanatical religon.  Don't pretend the atrocities of christianity are any less horrific then those of Islam, it wasn't the Islamic inquisition, the Islamic crusades, the Islamic holocaust ect.

Not a fan of the religion causes war argument.  We humans are despicable.  And many use religion to justify their actions.  But even if there was no religion there would still be murders, wars, ethnic cleansings.  The problem isn't religion.  The problem is people in general.  Most religions preach racial tolerance yet racism persists to this day and just over a hundred years ago slavery was still a massive problem in most of the world's "developed/civilized" nations.

You could argue that humanity's crimes wouldn't be on the same scale without religion but it's impossible to say for sure.
