I definitely don't like Sara Palin, but it's not because her husband had a DWI or she was part of a 'separatist' organization (more like libertarian, which I don't see a problem with at all)
I don't like her because she's completely insane. She believes the earth is 6000 years old, she would love to see creationism taught in our classrooms, she believes in abstinence only sex education (that worked out real well for her family didn't it, with 17 year old bristol getting knocked up like that), AND she believes that rape/incest victims shouldn't be able to have abortions?!
I mean, it's one thing to be John McCain and just be a panderer, but McCain is NOT insane like this chick. I think the year 2000 McCain that called the religious right a bunch of crazies is still alive and well and he's just pandering to the RR for votes. Despicable, but definitely not crazy.
I just wish McCain had made a solid choice for VP in the event that something does happen to him... he's not exactly young vibrant, and it will be miraculous if he makes it all 4 years of his first term with no major health issues. I don't like Joe Biden either, he's a cocksucking shill of the RIAA and MPAA, but he's not an insane creationist tool like Palin.
In terms of judgement calls, Obama made a better one. What I really don't understand about Palin is why if McCain wanted a woman on his ticket, he didn't pick any of quite a few other well qualified and experienced Republican women. Palin is a pick to appease the RR, and it definitely worked considering their surge in donations after her announcement.
