Forums - Gaming - How bad did Beyond Good and Evil actually sell?

Why would you ask such a question with a bias in it. Why not just ask, "How did Beyond Good and Evil sell in the market?" It's going to get you a lot more responsive answer if they are available.

Other than that I have no idea how it sold. Your best guess is my best guess.

I stated the reason I asked the question with the "bias" in it in my original post.

Everything I've ever read about this game stated that it's critical reception was very high, yet it ultimately failed commercially.

It's just common knowledge.  Every source lists this as a classic example of a great game that gets everything right, is advertised, and somehow still managed to sell poorly.  I'll just quote Wikipedia as one example -

"The game was developed by Michel Ancel, the creator of Rayman at Ubisoft's Montpellier studios in France. The game was reviewed highly, and was considered noteworthy for its immersiveness, voice acting, and musical score. However, unfortunate timing of the release against other titles led to disappointing sales. The game was intended to be the first part of a trilogy of games, but the game's poor sales placed those plans on hold at the time, although Michel Ancel had stated his desire to produce a sequel to the game.[3]"

Thanks!

idk, but I surely want to experience the game, like how you are doing right now with it.
I can't seem to find it in any stores, so Ebay and Amazon must be my best friends now to get it.
