How would you describe Sonata Arctica?  I've never heard of them but am always interested in bands I never heard of :)

Classic Eighties Heavy Metal! Awesome riffs.

If you like Die Scorpions you most likely will love Sonata Arctica.
They also have a lot of songs with real emotional depth.

I like several groups that have released unbelievable albums but don't always release stuff that I like, Dream Theater, Symphony X, and Kamelot to name a few.

Oasis, The Beatles, Mike Oldfield, Paul McCartney, Daft Punk. That's pretty much it. Not awaiting any album for now.
