according to this (and my own knowledge of parties policies) neither the UK or US has a party that can be elected that will be Libertarian Left (same site says is my position)

So My Question is why?

Libertarian Left? That implies that they have a libertarian economy...

I'm an old school libertarian, myself. Very Jeffersonian in belief. Freedom of...damn near everything. I want the government to just stay the hell out of my business.

Before I did the test I knew I was going to fall on the Fiscally-Conservative/Libertarian quadrant because I have taken similar tests in the past ... If you were going to create a single phrase that described my political view it would be something along the lines of "The Government is the problem not the solution"

Now, I could be wrong but I suspect that you're going to find that most people who run for office tend to be more authoritian because you would have to believe in the governments ability to be a positive influence on a person's life to run for government. If you look at more socialist/authoritian leaders they tend to have a nasty habit of destroying any ecconomy they run, so it is likely that governments like that tend not to be very successful.

I can't tell you about the little bit of choice Americans have and who they VOTE for (although a lot of Americans don't vote/No confidance vote). but I can tell you that Americans don't ELECT anything. Our votes are counted in Fla. by a private company, who does not have to release their methods or information legally, then the shred them and throw them away. Any American who believes their vote is casted is a goddamn idiot and should be fired from a canon into the sun.
