Forums - General - Where do you lie on the political compass?

For those of you who are simply putting in the compass directions:

Putting the image in is pretty simple. It should just be "right click" image...copy location....then click on the picture in the post editor....and paste in the url from the picture. The sooner you learn how to do this, the sooner you can start creating better threads and post fail pics....which always go over well.

And if you get good with picture embedment...you can move on to video and post videos of kermit watching two girls and one cup. Great fun.

You're doing G-d's work etecoon.

Can I call you etecoon?

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -6.50 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.21

Man, you guys on the left (almost everyone in this thread) need to join in more of the off topic discussions, because the balance is pretty even if not slightly shifted to the right. Kind of disproportionate to the userbase on here.

Not that I mind the interesting discussions at all, or the flagrant embarrassments some inflict on others.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

i've done this before and don't feel like repeating it...

i'm pretty close to the center but lean slightly left.
very left on most social issues - abortion being the outlier
somewhat right on economic issues
