Forums - Sony - New Dissidia video...

Finally a large gameplay video of Dissidia and it's horrible.  Check it out...

Graphics are much worse than their supposedly real-time footage they showed off originally (looks more like a PSX game).  Framerate drops are plentiful and distracting, fighting is stiff and repetitive, and to make things much much worse, nothing seems to do any damage but your finisher, which can kill in one freaking hit!  Wow... this is horrible.

I was wondering y their HP wasn't going down, but I think it's because u have to get a "break" and then their HP is vulnerable, kinda weird I know. I didn't see any frame rate drops, but I do agree that the graphics are not as good as I've seen before. The onion knight versus cloud of darkness looked better than this.

Edit: Looking at this video, u can see that they dealt HP without being a one hit kill. I guess that some moves by pass their "defense" and go straight to attacking their HP even if they don't get a "break," which I'm guessing is wat does big numbers are.

Ugh, so button press sequences are required to damage?  No thanks...

kinda plays like Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi series, graphics looks very good though.

I would rather a full blown rpg than a fighting/action game. It doesn't look too bad,and I'm still buying it , but I'm more interested in Squares other psp offerings(PE3,and Agito XIII).

Not necessarily, It would suck if it did, but in the video I just posted, u can see both characters dealing damage without button pressing. Also, u see a drop down menu where u select wat magic the onion knight wanted to do (I believe that this is exclusive to the onion knight) and it did not affect cloud of darkness' HP, just the big numbers. I would like to know wat is SE's obsession with making games more complicated than they should be. They could have made it Kingdom Hearts like, with the HP ACTUALLY being affect by each attack, and saved some headaches.

I know, just easier to call it that. Kinda like ToS:DoTNW is called ToS2 while not being ToS2.
