but honestly yeah Gears of War more than doubled the sales of Fable. So it makes sense that GOW2 would kill F2.

However bieng head to head rather than two seperate markets and times could make a big impact.

I think Fable II will win week 1 because of the massive amount of pre-orders with pub games (incentive) and the fact that majority of people who want it want it Day 1 (I think in a greater number than gears 2).

Fable II's first week sales exceeded the 1,000,000 mark and Gears of War's first week sales exceeded the 900,000 mark, which is quite the best for an exclusive game. Also, one month before release, Gears of War 2's pre-orders exceeded the original's. Gears of War 2 is going to be pretty huge.
