Honestly, the impression of what we have as a game that suits "Japaneese Tastes" and what actually suits "Japaneese Tastes" are two very different things ... I wouldn't be that surprised if Little Big Planet was outsold by a Japaneese Dating Sim

Well its coming around the busiest part of the year, and its going to be heavily advertised. The Japanese haven't really been big fans of the more hardcore games lately, but seem to buy the next big then quite heavily.

So yeah, I think if it is well received it will outsell MGS4. I think it could either be a huge flop or go on to be the biggest selling title on the PS3 this generation. Its the first of its kind, but has all the cuteness and accessibility for casual games to pick up and have fun with.

I think the LBP merchandise will sell more then the game itself, seeing how TB-ish the eventual keychains, plushies etc would look if paired with an Asian school girl.

(TB = Teeny bopper btw).

There was a thread not long ago with pictures from Japan of giant LBP posters...and lifesize Sackboys roaming the streets!

 One PS3 game has gone over 500k sales in Japan. One. And its lifetime sales are not going to pass 750k. Little Big Planet should do fine - but a million in sales? Come on. There's nothing reasonable about that!
