Either way you slice it, Immersion is the company paying MS the money. The title is at its best a cheap attempt to get people to come in and rant, at its worst an inflammatory miss leading title set up to start this thread with a tone that will simply start a flame war.

On topic, Immersion should have never signed the deal, they had the monopoly and should have dictated the terms, not try to play both sides. Im glad they got slammed.

I apologize I should of worded it differently - I was on my way out, and was shocked that Microsoft somehow got that wording into the contract, and then Immersion was able to drain Sony of their money.

Personally, I think Immersion suing Sony and Microsoft for the whole rumble idea is just dumb. It seems like there are so many companies out there that are sue-happy, waiting to drain Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony's coffers because they can't put out a decent product themselves that makes it to the big time.

Good! Making video game companies pay 150 million because they make there controllers shake is ridicules. I understand copy right laws and all, but at some point, common sense should step in.

I think taking a little of that away is good.

OT: Yeah, I hate these companies that just file patents, but don't even make anything of it. I think these companies just make a crappy product that implements the features, but never intend to sell it to consumers. Then hopes that some other company crosses that patent line and when they get successful they strike. There should be a law against this crap. I wouldn't be stuck with a gimped PS3 controller right now if it was for this lazy company who lives off lawsuits.

Whats the big deal? Sony pays Microsoft everytime they sell a Vaio laptop. You do know that Vaio uses Windows.
