America needs change. Vote Obama 08 . |
There is a major differecne between Guantanomo and China there your arrested for talking bad about your government or believing in a banned religion the people in Gutanamo were all in a war zone where they had reason to believe all of them are terrorists. It is sad when people have more conpassion for terrorists than for the innocent civilians they want to bomb and kill in a mentalitly that is sexist and limits your ability to think freely or you die.
Invading Iraq for oil you can argue however if the US did it for oil wouldnt the USA force the Iraqi government then to pay for the war with they oil, also its not like they are giving America a deal on that oil.
Bush did not lose the election to Gore he won and you cant dispute that if you understand how the American democracy works your know. Its a balance between direct and indirect election to limit the power between the large and small states.
If Obama wins then we will all be asking for some change on the streets. Do research before you just state your opinions.
Explination of how bush won:
In the USA each states citizens vote for president the winner gains all the electoral votes allocated to the state, this is determined by the states population when one canadite gets to 270 electoral votes wins. So Bush won the majority of states in 2000 and he won Florida by a few votes. The way he lost the popular vote was by in some states that Gore won he won it by larger margins meaning he got more votes overall. However it is the state's winner not overal vote winner that gets the election. It is set up that way to balance the power between the states and central government. It is by the original idea of the federal government to be made up of the states and not the federal government on top of the states. I is a federal system of government where all th states are on an equal footing as the federal government. Federal for national policy.
In every census in every 10 years the number of electoral votes per state is changed more if the population increases and less if the population decreases in comparision to the growth in population of other states. This actually gives one party an advantage of another typically the Democractic party gains 8 additional electoral college votes since the south has a growing population and northern states are stagnate. That will change in 2010 when states such as Florida gain two more electoral college votes and NY lose some.
