Forums - Gaming - Age of Empires IV ideas?

See title and no, I don't think Halo Wars was it.

Make it not shit.

AoE III was absolute rubbish, personally what I would like them to do is go completely back to basics and make a good old fashioned RTS.

^How was AoE III bad besides the Indian vs Hessian thing and the other story lines?

they need an AoE that goes from the Roman times to Imperial Europe

"Like you know"

Aoe 2 was addicting. I spent tons of time trying to create the ultimate map.

Never played the third one, but if they stay true to their roots, i don't mind which time period they take this game to.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the best Zelda title ever made.

From the AoEIII Collector's Edition:

I just really hope they don't go the route of III. I loved AoEII, and AoM surpassed it in every way. I could never get into AoEIII, however.

Age of Mythology is still one of my favorite RTSes, along with the Battle for Middle-earth II and Supreme Commander.

I just bought age of Mythology.

I cant make it work with Vista

Hm, works for me.  Things were a bit buggy at first, due to my outdated nVidia drivers.

Have you downloaded any new drivers recently?

My only current issue is that I can't join at least half of all custom matches online.

Something about the gameplay, I'm not sure what it was, but it just didn't draw me in like AoEII and AoM.

The card system also made it hard to keep up with online, imo.  It wasn't as easy to just jump in play.  You had to keep a good grasp on your current deck instead of just remembering the basic gameplay mechanics.
