LOL at folks who think Palin's an awesome pick. Sure, she's hot and definitely a MILF. Sure, she's a rising and upcoming star in the GOP. Sure, she's loved wholeheartedly by Alaska, and she gets mad point for being a beauty queen and a point guard. However, the fly in the ointment is the investigation she's under. She is accused of firing her ex-brother-in-law's supervisor because he wouldn't fire him after he divorced her sister. I have been following this for a while. Sure, she's anti-abortion - keeping her son Trig when she knew he had Downs is awesome, but to woo Hillary supporters? Nah.

I am curious to see if the probe finds her guilty, how this will play out on the road to the White House - or if this probe will just vanish altogether.

Actually, the way you describe it is due to a CNN hack-job. In reality, Pailin ordered for the inquiry because of a suspicious phone converstation that she felt may have been coercive and unethical. She has fully cooperated and said she has nothing to hide.

Thats an unfounded argument, you could pretty much say the same thing about anything.

What's unfounded? It's obvious you pretty much don't know what your talking about when talking about the greatest US presidents if you'd rank Kennedy in contention of top 5.

Kennedy's highest ranking among scholars ever is 8.

The top 5 are always the same.

Washington, Lincon, Roosevelt, Jefferson and Roosevelt.

Everyone else is just way below.

There is a reason the first 4 are on a mountain.

It's not even considered debating in the US. A political science teacher or shcolar would laugh at the contention that Kennedy was anywhere near those.

That scholar's list is suffering from major "one of these things is not like the other" syndrome.

this election is turning out to be very interesting - it's gonna make history.

I just read few articles on Sarah Palin, and I like her. don't know if she is the right choice for V.P. but I'm sure McCain wanted someone who can get some conservatives' votes.

I like it.

I love how Obama's #1 critic of her is she has no experiance...

Is not that just a little Ironic.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

We should probably get the topic back on track. I'll start by stating her policies and my opinions of them.

- No gun control - mildly disagree
- Outlaw abortion - strongly disagree
- For capital punishment - agree
- For creationism in school - strongly disagree, this is retarded
- Tax cuts favor wealthy - disagree
- Republican course in Iraq - disagree
- Drilling for oil - mildly agree

Best choice considering Obama and company would do a liberal+"the Real Romney" ad if he was chosen. Next stop for pork--the firing squad then billions more for the US.

Have any idea how much the Iraq War costs?  Its thousands of dollars from every American.  I cant imagine how much staying there for 100 years would cost, you have to factor in inflation and all sorts of things.

And concerning pork, isnt she from the same Republican state with such great ideas as the Bridge to Nowhere?

We are doing street walks and barrack BB games in Iraq.  Anbar just received the transfer from US to Iraqi police control.  It is doing well.  The suicide bombers bomb police recruiters with blocks long signups b/c they think it will deter Iraqis from making a change for the better.  News flash--they keep signing up in exponential numbers this year.

As for Palin, Ted Stevens is for that bridge of pork and she is adamantly against ALL govt waste, including him.

Some men see things as they are and say, "Why?" I dream of things that never were and say, "Why not?"

Oh well, fuck it. It's politics.

I guess for some there are no lines between science and fantasy.

I do not like the Republican view on international policy.  I'm more of a supporter of Liberal Internationalism than Realism (or Democratic Realism and conservative Charles Krauthammer would call it).

If you actually believe the 100 years war comment you either didn't hear what he said in context or a complete tool.

He said "We may have troops in Iraq 100 years, 1,000 years.  Just how we have troops in Germany, Japan, and other nations.

In other words.  Friendly military bases that don't fight or do anything but have troops stationed there.
