Pather Panchali:-An indian masterpiece, a lesson in how to make a beautiful movie with a shoe-string budget and an ancient camera.

A short film about love:-A brilliant ,realistic love story, the acting is as natural as it gets, a definite masterpiece

Yojimbo:-My favorite Kurosawa film,its just too classy and fun not to be considered a masterpiece

The Godfather:-In my opinion ,the best American movie ever made. Great cast and a greater story, everything comes together brilliantly

Dr Strangelove:-The best dark comedy of alltimes, the story is ridiculous but at the same time, could have easily happened in the Cold War era.

Almost forgot to mention Grave Of The Fireflies, brilliant ,touching story. Even though its an anime, the story-telling is top notch

Cinematic masterpieces for me include The Bicycle Thief, Last Night and Exotica (among dozens others)

Genre flick masterpieces would include Jurassic Park and Serenity

And Cult flick masterpieces include the Evild dead 2, the night and dawn dead movies and Death Race 2000
