Forums - General - Obama picks VP....

LOL at anyone who doesn't think Bush is surrounded by brilliant people... You may hate Rove and Cheney but your underestimation of their intelligence is what led to the past eight years.

Keep laughing. In the end, they're the ones who won. We lost.

I don't get the "Obama has to fight back" angle.

Maybe it's just because i live in ohio... but the only thing i ever see is attack ads approved by Obama.

Actually, they knew how to make people not ask hard enough questions about votiong machines, electronic or otherwise.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

this has epic fail written all over it. even biden has said McCain would make a good president and obama was not suited for the job.

Good choice - Biden is old and white, and so incorporates McCain's appeal.

Lol, for sure.  Those old white males are actually the demographic he is struggling with the most.  Surprise, surprise, white males are usually always the ones who circumvent social progress (and I say that as a white male myself).

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Watch this McCain ad on Biden.  They point out some of the mistakes of his pick.

Bolded the key word.

"Progress" is entirely subjective. Don't get too high on that horse for when you fall, it only hurts more. People have different ideas of right and wrong, of importance and neglect. What you feel is progress is likely the downfall of America in others' eyes.

Not quite. Can we let Florida 2000 go? It was a fair ballot designed by a Democrat. If you want to point fingers, point them directly at the stupid motherfuckers who designed and approved it.

Actually he probably means Ohio last election. Where there were voting machine problems in a number of machines. In one district. Ohio's most democratic one.

And the head election offical was also head of the Re-Elect George W Bush movement.

Though it seems more and more about greed and less about corruption as it turns out one of the main reasons he went from voting machines with a paper trail to ones without a paper trail is that he owned stock in the company that provided the second batch of voting machines.

So half the machines were basically switched to inferior ones for his personal profit.

Oh yeah, forgot about Ohio.

Still, I don't give a shit. Complaining about past elections is beyond lame.
