It's a drone that isn't controlled directly.  You call it in, and it does what it does.

I think it'll end up being something like the helicopter from COD4.  You just call it in, but don't directly control it.

Oh sorta like air support in COD4.

As a vocal KZ2 doubter, you can colour me impressed.

I still have doubts about the game, but if these previews are correct and the developer is in fact addressing issues with the game (AI the big one), then I have to give Kudos for that.

Goes with my avatar, eh?  Yesterday I was thinking about how I wished mods could customize their name colors, for this very reason.  xD

As for splitscreen, I'm pretty sure it has co-op offline multiplayer. Not sure about online multiplayer, and I'm pretty sure singleplayer is singleplayer only, but they may add in co-op in a future update, if I recall correctly.

I'm not sure why it won't be there at release.  Between Sev and Garza, the game would be perfect for it:

And HELL YEAH, split screen against bots would be awesome.
How awesome would it be if they were able to provide 4 player splitscreen ala COD4 and Warhawk...
But that's just being greedy. ^_^ 

And yeah, campaign having splitscreen ala Resistance would be a pretty sweet icing on the cake.

The game is really turning up to be a really good one and the effects are really good, now its leading more to buy of this game.
