It was the Halo 2 box. People are still playing that game. 35,000 Halo 2 games played in the last 24 hours according to Bungie.net.

Fiscally wise it was a failure for MS but it did decent in overall customer penetration. Not great but better than a lot of systems.

I'm not talking about Xbox failures or fanboy rants but rather what could today be like from the industry's perspective if it was just Sony and Ninty.

if it would of failed eh....well it would of gave gamers something to laugh at. but besides that it would probably slowed nintendo and sony down. I think the ps3 would of included a shit load more features to make it more like a computer and an everyday household electronic (which is mainly the reason microsoft went into the console business) nintendo would of still probably did the same thing but again added things like, internal memory and wifi 1:1 motion controllers from the getgo etc. but they probably wouldnt of came out till holiday 2008 or 2009

MS is lucky have a lot of money I just wished Sega also had that amount of money DC was so fun and had damned great games.

i prefer sega to be on the market than m$.

it didn't do that bad. it still sold more than the gamecube. but personally, i can't see why, the only game i liked on the xbox was Halo 2 ( i never owned it but i've been to friends houses and played it ).

i had the cube and there were a lot of fun games for it.

anyway, maybe the Xbox wasn't a failure as it helped bring console online gaming out and it helped change how we play games today.
