What do people do with all that space? |
What do people do with all that space? Is that a rhetoirical question??? Do you have a PS3? Hmm..downloadable games, disc-based installs, add-on content, music, videos, downloadable movies and tv shows, movie rentals, videos and demos from the PSN, pictures, saved games, disc/install games (warhawk, LBP, etc.). Did I miss anything?
EDIT* I did..PlayTV when it comes out.

I do have a PS3 (80gig) and I've barely used any of my space. I suppose there's a small amount dedicated to game saves and another small amount dedicated to downloadable games if I had any but even 80 gigs seems like too much.
As for music, videos, whatever, I have my TV and other things for that. The PS3 is a *great* DVD/BluRay player but I don't really pirate movies so there's no need to store them. I don't really listen to music in my living room and even if I did I would just stream it off my computer. Add-on content doesn't take a lot of space. Movie rentals are rentals and gone in a few days. Demos are also just demos and generally don't stick around for too long. That's quite a porn collection if you fill up 80 gigs and again, can't you just stream that off your PC? Did I miss anything?
Also, many of the assumptions in that last paragraph are based on my 360 that I think has something like a 20gig hard drive. While the game saves aren't nearly as large, I still have many downloaded games and downloadable content *and* I still have plenty of room to rent movies and download demos.
So yeah, I still have no clue why people need 160 gigs. Is it some kind of e-penis thing?
-edit-
And before people start freaking out, I'm not really critisizing Sony or the people that use all their space, I just honestly don't know how people fill up their drives so quickly.
